Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage uses specific massage techniques to reduce muscle tension, soreness, increases poor circulation and improves body functions. The massage incorporates five to six different movements in a combination of techniques and strokes that will flow, increasing circulation and ensuring the recipient receives a deep relaxation on many levels.

The Swedish Massage can be adapted to a clients individual need but it will always use a massage technique called EFFLEURAGE. It will depend on the clients preferences to how firm or soft the pressure is used. This technique warms the clients muscles, allows the therapist to familiarise themselves with the client and it can be used to detect tension, knots and adhesion's. Other techniques are used to remove toxins, slight build up of pressure is used to release and relax muscle and to encourage the circulation to perform well. To achieve the best results from any massage, regular sessions would be advisable, fortnightly to begin with then monthly intervals to maintain optimum results.
